“Charlotte, this has nothing to do with you, but I cant…”

”I need to study for the finals tomorrow.” I said.

She looked surprised, almost hurt.

“It’s alright- uhm.. have a nice evening then.”

I felt really bad about wasting this chance. But, I’d do great at the exams nonetheless. And when I had hit the success I needed, I could always return to her and take her out.

I spent the rest of that evening not sleeping. My mind was a mess. I couldn’t stop thinking about the chance I had missed, but also I couldn’t stop reading and studying. I was a mess.

Then finally exam day had arrived and I successfully passed. I was given my certificate and not long after, I founded my first startup around the app I had built during the course of the Mastermind.

I called it Motion.

An app to organize your life, business and even build custom workspaces with just a few movements. It brought together all productivity apps that had ever existed into one powerful AR system to build everything from nothing.

People resonated with the idea, so money and investments started pouring in. More than I had ever imagined. I moved my mom out her house, I bought luxury AR glasses for Kobe and I did everything I had planned to do after becoming successful.

But something was still missing. I wanted love. I wanted companionship. I wanted to start a family and have kids.

Charlotte popped into my thoughts and within minutes, I had located her number. I dialed her up and said:

”Hey Charlotte, this is Alex from the Mastermind. Do you remember that coffee you wanted to have?”

”Hi Alex! Yeah, I do. What’s up with it?”, she said.

”Well, is the offer still up for grabs?”

I could hear her smiling through the glasses.

”Yes Alex, I never thought you’d ask!”
